State statute requires that each school system’s board of trustees hold a public hearing to discuss the district’s annual report. Commissioner rule indicates this hearing for public discussion of the Texas Academic Performance Report must be held within 90 days after the report is released by TEA, which was December 15, 2023. The main portion of the annual report is the State-issued TAPR report which includes student performance on the state STAAR assessment, including data disaggregated by student groups, including ethnicity and socioeconomic status.
