Geronimo, TX – Navarro Independent School District (Navarro ISD) is proud to announce that Athletic Director Rod Blount has been selected by the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) to serve on the Super Elite Team Selection Committee.
Blount’s selection to this prestigious committee recognizes his exceptional leadership, dedication to student-athletes, and contributions to the high school sports community. As a member of the Super Elite Team Selection Committee representing Region Four 4A Football, Blount will play a vital role in identifying and selecting the top high school football players in the state of Texas.
“I am honored to be selected to serve on the THSCA Super Elite Team Selection Committee,” said Blount. “It is a privilege to have the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of these young athletes. THSCA is the best organization in the nation for supporting athletes, coaches, athletic programs and school districts, and I’m excited to be able to give back in this way.”
The THSCA Super Elite Team is a prestigious honor that recognizes over 1,600 top varsity high school athletes in Texas for their exemplary achievement in their respective sport. Players who meet the award criteria are nominated by their school coaches, then the committee representatives will select the best male and female athletes from across the state. Team finalists from all 23 sports in classifications 1A-6A will be announced throughout the school year.
