NISD has three Summer School Programs Offered:

1) Summer Acceleration for Recommended students - Program is offered by invitation only to support academic readiness due to identified instructional gaps. Grades PK-8 You may contact your campus administrator for further details. Questions or concerns about Summer Acceleration may be sent to wendy.mcmullen@nisd.us.

2) Credit Recovery - Program for students seeking promotion to the next grade level or credits for graduation. Grades 9-12 - $150 fee - Fee covers all courses required for recovery Questions about Credit Recovery may be sent to wendy.mcmullen@nisd.us.

3) Enrichment Camps - These specialty camps are offered to students in grades K-6. There are a variety of camps to choose from. Each week of camp has a fee of $100.00. Details can be accessed at the link

• Registration will be required for all programs.

• Students qualifying for Accelerated Summer School or Credit Recovery will be directly contacted by the campus administration or counselors.

• Students interested in the Enrichment program are encouraged to register based on interest. Spaces are limited for Enrichment. Payment must be received at the Central Office in order to complete the registration process. Checks may be made payable to NISD Summer Enrichment Program. • Transportation may be offered for students attending Summer Acceleration and Credit Recovery Programs if requested by parents when a student was registered for summer school. Please contact Daniel Weaver at daniel.weaver@nisd.us if you have further questions about summer transportation.

• Transportation is not provided for students attending Summer Enrichment programs.

• Parents of Summer School students that are registered for summer transportation may checkTransAct App for updates on pick-up and drop-off times.
