The HB18 legislation was signed into law June 2015 to bolster the college and career advising available to students in middle school. The statewide initiative requires each school district to provide instruction to students in grade seven and eight in preparing for high school, college, and possible careers and continue to update in high school. Additional activities that may meet HB18 are, but not limited to, EMERGE presentations, supplemental college and career curriculum, college fairs/visits, career/job fairs, and CTE classes. Xello & Everfi modules and resources are also available for high school students.
